WHAT IS SURI FIBER USED FOR?

The main use for Suri alpaca fiber is high fashion fabric for men's and women's designer clothing.  Luxury apparel, coats, sweaters, and unique decorator items as well as specialty interior fabrics and textiles take up the bulk of the rest of the world Suri alpaca fiber.

Suri fiber is highly sought after by the fashion industry and cherished by the hand spinner. It has the softness of cashmere, luster of silk, warmth and featherweight of goose down, and the durability of wool. It's ability to accept dye makes it a favorite of all fiber enthusiasts. Suri fiber blends well with wool and other fine fiber, including silk. The yarn can be knit, crocheted or woven.
